Flight tickets Once you have decided to rent one of our apartments, you will need to get a suitable flight ticket. You can go to a travel agency, but it might be interesting to try to book a cheap ticket via the internet. There are many price differences. Sometimes, you can get return tickets on a last minute basis (just a few days before departure) for only EUR99, whereas in the high season you might have to pay EUR500. The normal price for a return ticket should be between EUR350 and EUR400. There are many different options, so it is worthwhile to check this out. On your search to cheap tickets, you should ask yourself the following questions: From which airport do I want to fly? The Netherlands: Schiphol Amsterdam or one of the smaller airports. Belgium: Brussels. Northern Germany: Bremen, Hamburg, Münster/Osnabrück, Paderborn, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Köln-Bonn. How many people are going? The more people, the more difficult it will be to travel in the same aeroplane. In this case, you will need to book well in advance, which makes it harder to find cheap tickets. What is the travelling time to and from the airport? It might be worthwhile to travel a bit further to an airport in Germany or Belgium, if the tickets are cheaper there. What are the costs of parking at the airport? In the Netherlands the costs of parking are relatively high compared to Germany and Belgium. Am I flexible regarding dates of departure and arrival? It is cheaper to book a last minute. However, if you wait too long, you do run the risk that there are no tickets available anymore. What are the costs of the transport of my extra (diving) luggage? In the Netherlands, extra weight of luggage is usually charged for. In Germany, people are much more lenient about this.
